"Let it be me.
If the world is night, shine my life like a light."
- Emily Saliers/Indigo Girls, Let It Be Me

For as long as I can remember, certain truths have quietly shaped the way I move through the world. They’ve been the heartbeat of my life—as a physician, a seeker, and now, as the founder of MD Wellness Soulutions. This practice is the result of decades of experience, deep personal healing, and a calling to help others transform their health in the most holistic, grounded, and soulful way possible.
My Journey Through Medicine—and What I Discovered
For more than 30 years, I practiced medicine. Early on, I sensed that something was missing. The traditional system worked well in many ways, yet it often fell short of supporting true, lasting wellness. I rarely had the time to connect with my patients the way I wanted to, or to dig into the root causes of what they were facing. Too often, I felt as though I was offering temporary fixes for deeper wounds, and that never sat right with me. I did not become a doctor to manage symptoms. I became one to help people heal.
So in the mid-1990s, I began exploring complementary medicine. I took courses, sought out practitioners who shared my convictions, and started weaving natural, integrative approaches into my practice. What I saw amazed me. Patients responded in ways I had not witnessed before. Even so, I was still working within a system that simply was not built for the kind of care I knew was possible. Eventually, the weight of that mismatch caught up with me. Overwhelmed and burned out, I made the hardest decision of my career. I sold my practice.
Finding Healing—And a New Path
In 2010, I stepped away from clinical medicine and entered the life insurance industry. At Lincoln Financial Group, and later at Principal Financial Group and American National, I finally found the time and space to rest, recover, and heal.
For the first time in years, I was no longer on call or working weekends. I rediscovered simple joys: reading for pleasure, playing bass in a band, and reconnecting with the person I had become too busy to know, the one buried beneath years of professional pressure. Yet even as I began to feel whole again, I realized I was not finished helping people. I simply needed to find a different way to do it.
Creating MD Wellness Soulutions
That realization led me to create MD Wellness Soulutions, a practice built around the kind of care I had long wanted to provide. Here, I have the opportunity to truly know my clients, not just their symptoms. Together, we explore the physical, mental, and emotional factors that can contribute to illness or stand in the way of healing.
Each relationship begins with a detailed 10-page health-history form and an in-depth conversation. When appropriate, I draw on complementary-medicine tools, such as food-sensitivity panels and nutritional assessments, to uncover patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all answer, I partner with each client to understand what is affecting their health and to begin creating a path toward meaningful, lasting healing.

Expanding the Mission
More recently, I adapted The 7 Day Mental Diet by Emmet Fox for children and athletes, with an edition for teens on the way. This book has been deeply instrumental in my own growth as a human being, and I believe its message can benefit all of us. These editions are available, or will be soon, at BrainBossBooks.com.
I also founded Unrivaled Health Vaults, a company that develops health-related apps. Its first product, Clear to Compete, will help athletes, coaches, and trainers determine whether a drug or other substance is prohibited by their sport's governing body. It is planned for release in the third quarter of 2026.
Today, my work rests on a simple belief: true wellness begins when people feel seen, heard, and supported as whole human beings. Through MD Wellness Soulutions, Brain Boss Books, and Unrivaled Health Vaults, I remain committed to helping people gain knowledge, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward healthier lives.
